Swimming Pool
Dos
- Use the foot bath and shower before entering the pool
- Wear a swimming cap in the pool at all times
- Wear the slippers provided by the Recreation Centre when entering the pool area
- Follow the instructions given by Club staff and lifeguards
- Seek prior approval from a medical practitioner if suffering from a medical condition
Don’ts
- Using photographic or video devices, personal audio devices without headphones and mobile phones (conversing or taking photo/video on the mobile phone or video telephone)
- Entering the pool when feeling unwell or suffering from skin diseases, infectious diseases, heart problems, cuts or bruises or under other body conditions not suitable for swimming
- Undressing or getting dressed in the pool area
- Smoking (including electronic cigarettes), spitting, littering, eating or consuming alcoholic beverages
- Bringing glassware into the pool area
- Engaging in rough, noisy or irresponsible behaviours in the pool or surrounding area
- Using lilos, water guns, beach balls or engaging in ball games of any kind
- Using flotation aids and rescue equipment such as public ring buoys without permission from the lifeguards
- Using flippers, snorkels or face goggles
- Engaging the services of swimming coaches other than the Club-appointed coaches
- Consuming alcoholic beverages, or swimming after consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Diving from the edge of the pool, or attempting to dive, running, engaging in horseplay, walking around the pool area without wearing slippers or any other behaviours which may cause danger around the pool area
- Allowing children under the age of 12 to swim alone without being accompanied by their parents or other adults
